Poecilimon brunneri - Brunner's Bright Bush-cricket
(Frivaldszky, 1867)

Description: Green grasshopper with small brown spots (13-20 mm). The middle of the back is brown. The male's pronotum is light-brown and elevated at the end. The cerci are red, flattened, bending inwards at about right angles and ending in a black point. The ovipositor is 6-7 mm long.
Similar species: the other Poecilimon species
Adults: from June to August
Song:
The faint song consists of solitary syllables, repeated with intervals of 2 to 10 sec.

Habitat: 
Loess-steppe grasslands.
Distribution:
Known only from one locality in Hungary, near Budapest (Pécel).
