Pseudochorthippus montanus - Water-meadow Grasshopper
(Charpentier, 1825)

Description: Quite small species (♂ 13-16 mm, ♀ 17-25 mm). The body is shiny green to yellow, the dorsal side often brown. The hind knees are black, fore wings are longer (reaching the hind knee in males and half of the abdomen in females) than by P. parallelus. The side keels of the pronotum are only slightly curved. Ovipositors are longer than by P. parallelus.
Similar species: Pseudochorthippus parallelus and Euchorthippus species
Adults: from June to October.
Song:
The loud song is similar to that of P. parallelus , but it's slower and the song is longer. 7 to 14 chirps follow each other with intervals of 4 to 7 sec. The first few chirps are shorter and quieter.

Habitat: Marshes, humid grasslands, hayfields.

Widespread but not common.
