Epacromius coerulipes (ssp. pannonicus) - Small Blue-legged Grasshopper (Karny, 1907)
Description: Small to medium-sized brown grasshopper (♂ 12-17 mm, ♀ 18-27 mm). The wings extend slightly beyond the hind knees, the hind wings are transparent. Similar species:the Acrotylus species (A. insubricus, A. longipes). Adults: from Julyto September Song: Males have no calling song. Habitat: Alkaline grasslands nearby marshes. Distribution: It's very rare, found only in some regions of the Great Hungarian Plain. In suitable habitats it can be very abundant. Note: Protected species in Hungary.
